StoriesOut is fast approaching the symbolic milestone of 15 years. More than a decade of contact with technological innovation, a dynamic ecosystem and ideas, each more ingenious than the last, born of the digital Big Bang: the Internet.
To mark International Startup Day, we’d like to take a look back at the technological waves that have turned the economy upside down, and pay tribute to the leading figures we’ve often had the pleasure of supporting.
Le Big Data … l’antichambre de l’IA ?
2013, at a time when aging acronyms such as ERP, EDM and CRM are on everyone’s lips (including CIOs’), a still nebulous technological revolution is emerging that will quickly become a best seller: Big Data and its “derivatives”: BDA (Big Data Analytics) and Machine Learning.
A technology that a young French player would sublimate to the point of becoming one of the driving forces behind its dissemination and innovation; drum roll: Dataiku, with whom we learned all about Big Data during a collaboration lasting over 3 years.
This technological wave is still going strong, and can be seen as the antechamber to AI.
Proptech – startups that increase our purchasing power.
Combining the terms “Property” and “Technology”, the terminology Proptech only appeared in 2017, StoriesOut accompanied some pioneers in the digitalization of real estate services as early as 2016, following the example of the first collaborative information platform on the quality of life of housing Apimka or the concierge service WeHost.
For several years now, these innovations have been democratizing access to real estate investment traditionally considered the preserve of an elite. This is perhaps the source of the success of French PropTech, and the emergence of a number of players who have launched their communications with StoriesOut, such as Louve Invest and Beanstock.
Fintech – Finance for everyone.
It’s 2015, and technology startups specializing in finance are competing with traditional banking and finance players by offering new ways of providing services. StoriesOut is working with one of these key players: Lyf (a mobile payment solutions provider), followed a few months later by the omnichannel payment solution PayPlug and then Mangopay.
In our post-pandemic world, it’s now impossible to imagine our daily lives without these services, which have changed our lives indelibly!
Everywhere! AI is everywhere…
From the extinction of humanity caused by machines, to the near future that will see AI-generated wealth and the disappearance of work for humans, via the explosion of Deep Fakes and the ChatGPT revolution … Not a week goes by without an article dedicated to AI.
Chatbot, Waze, search or translation engine, AI is everywhere, at home and in the office.
While the concept appeared as early as the mid-20th century, we witnessed its return to favor in 2016 (as evidenced by the 2018 Artificial intelligence index report, which shows exponential growth in the number of AI job offers ).
Since 2020, StoriesOut has had the privilege of popularizing the technology of disruptive players such as Yourchat.AI (a suite of AI-based applications), conversational AI company Ideta and Digitalent publisher of a no-code AI platform.
It’s hard to predict which technologies will revolutionize our daily lives, so ambitious and creative are our innovators. But there’s no doubt that we’re only at the beginning of AI applications, and many new use cases will emerge in the near future.
We look forward to seeing you in 10 years’ time, and sharing our thoughts with you.
